How to Convert Your Palm Data to iPod
With the ability to store mass amounts of information, the Palm PDA (personal digital assistant) and iPod are among the most popular digital media devices on the market today. But what do you do if you have important digital information (contacts, music) on your Palm that you need to move to your iPod? Unfortunately you can't hook your Palm directly to your iPod. However, it only takes a few minutes to transfer the information using a downloadable computer program.

1
Open your Internet browser and go to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2484. Click the "Download" button in the upper right hand corner of the window and install on your computer. Since the iPod is made by Apple, iSync is specific to Mac computers. However, if you are using a PC, go to http://www.plaxo.com/ and download the free program. It's similar to iSync, but works with a PC.

2
Plug your Palm into your computer using the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port. Open iSync, click "Sync Devices" on the main menu. After a moment the program should detect the Palm.
