How to Make a Bead Bracelet for a Baby
Making a beaded bracelet for a baby is similar to the way you make a beaded bracelet for a child or adult. The only difference is it is smaller in size. A beaded bracelet can be personalized by including the baby's name on the bracelet using lettered beads. You can also customize it to match the baby's wardrobe by using beads of a certain color or shape. According to Name-bracelet.com, a beaded bracelet can make a nice birthday, milestone or "just because" gift.

1
Measure the baby's wrist using a sewing measuring tape. Wrap the measuring tape around the baby's wrist and note the measurement.
-
2
Unravel string to match the measurement of the baby's wrist. Add two extra inches to the string measurement to allow for tying.
-
-
3
Cut string and tie at least two knots at one end. Secure to a table or flat surface using tape.
-
4
String beads onto the string. You can alternate colors or create a pattern with the beads. You can also use lettering beads to personalize the bracelet with the baby's name. Be sure you leave at least an inch of string at the other end of the string to allow for tying.
-
5
Tie a knot in the opposite end of the string so the beads will not fall off.
-
6
Remove the tape from the bracelet's end. Tie both ends of string together.

Tips & Warnings
Don't leave bracelet on baby overnight. Watch baby at all times while bracelet is on to prevent the child from chewing on beads or string.
Use strong string to prevent the baby from easily breaking the bracelet; a broken bracelet and scattered beads pose a choking hazard.
As an extra precaution, tie a jewelry clasp to each end of the bracelet, and ensure the length of the finished bracelet is long enough to fit around the baby's wrist but not to pull over his hand. This way the bracelet will remain secure and the baby will not be able to remove it.
