How to Uninstall Older Versions of QuickTime
QuickTime is one of the most popular media players out there. It allows you to play music and video, and it integrates with a number of video-editing applications to create video. You can uninstall and remove an older version of QuickTime if you want to install a newer version or if you are simply no longer interested in the application.

Close QuickTime if you are using it. Wait a few seconds for the program to terminate.

Click the "Start" menu and click "Control Panel." Double-click "Add or remove programs" if you are using Windows XP.
Click "Program and features" and click "Uninstall a program" if you are using Windows Vista or 7.

Scroll through the window until you find the QuickTime version you are running. Select it, then click "Remove/uninstall" to launch the uninstallation wizard. Click "OK" to confirm.
Mac users

Double-click the hard drive on the desktop. You should see a list of folders and components.

Double-click the "Applications" folder. You should see a list of installed programs..

Click the QuickTime program and drag it to the trash can to uninstall it. Alternatively, press and hold "Ctrl" and right-click the QuickTime icon. Click "Move to trash" to uninstall it.
