How to Copy Movies to a Blackberry
With so many available devices on the market that can handle video playback, it starts to get tough to recall which format can play on which device and which program must be used to transfer the videos. A recent application emerged to take all the headache and guesswork out of transferring movies and music with support for dozens of handsets, including BlackBerrys. This guide will show you how to use a free application to watch your movies on your smartphone.

Download and install DoubleTwist. DoubleTwist is a free, cross-platform application that makes it extremely easy to manage your music, photo and movie library. DoubleTwist includes support for BlackBerrys and takes all the hard work out of converting and transferring movies to your devices. See Tips and Resources for additional conversion utilities.

Open DoubleTwist and connect your BlackBerry via USB to your computer. You will need to create a free DoubleTwist account to access the application. Select Create Account and fill in the necessary information and log in to the application.

Select Movies from DoubleTwist's Library sidebar. The program will take a few minutes to scan your hard drive for available video files and display them in an iTunes-like view. If the video you wish to copy to your BlackBerry is not automatically found by DoubleTwist you can drag the file into the Movies library.

Select your video file from DoubleTwist's library and drag and drop it on to your BlackBerry in DoubleTwist's Devices sidebar. DoubleTwist will automatically perform the necessary conversion for your device and copy it to your BlackBerry. The length of conversion time will depending on the size of the file and the original file format. Once you have copied all the video files over, you can eject your BlackBerry and enjoy your movies on the go.

Tips & Warnings
You can turn on or off automatic syncing for your device by selecting the Music, Movies or Photos tab under your Device.
DoubleTwist isn't the only application to convert your video files to the BlackBerry .3GP format.
