How to Naturally Treat Ringworm on the Scalp

Ringworm is a fungus that can form on the scalp and other parts of the body. Ringworm starts on the scalp as a small pimple, growing bigger and bigger. Soon the ringworm becomes patchy, flaky or scaly. Hair loss can ensue from ringworm and, if infected, the area can become swollen, red and tender. Slices of papaya have a healing affect on scalp ringworm. Place papaya slices on the infected area of the scalp two to three times a day.

    • 5

Dry out ringworm with apple cider vinegar by soaking a paper towel in vinegar and placing it on the scalp several times a day until the ringworm dries up.

    • 6

Take juice from half of a lime and make a paste with 1 to 2 tbsp. of butea seeds. Apply the paste onto scalp ringworm and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Wipe off with a warm, damp cloth. Repeat each day until the ringworm is gone.
