Tips & Warnings
If you would prefer not to use a dryer, you can lay the batting flat on a large clean surface and allow to dry flat.
Keep in mind that washing your batting the first time will shrink it roughly 3%. After the initial washing, however, it will not shrink again.
Once quilted, the batting will not shrink, tear or bunch, even if washed in the washing machine.
Do not let the washing machine go through its agitation cycle, as this can produce stretching, ripping and tearing of the batting.
