How to Make Windows Live Search My Default Home Page
Windows Live Search, which is now called Bing, is Microsoft's search engine. You can use it to search anything from algorithms to z-scores. Windows Live Search can be accessed not only with Microsoft's Internet Explorer, but also with any browser. For convenience, you might wish to make this search engine your browser's home page, and this is easily done in Internet Explorer as well as in Mozilla Firefox and SeaMonkey.

On Internet Explorer

Open Internet Explorer and allow it to completely load on your screen.

Type "www.bing.com" in your web address box. Press "Enter." This will direct your browser to Bing.com.

Select "Internet Options," found on the Tools menu. Select the General tab in the Internet Options dialog box.

Select "Use Current." This will set www.bing.com, which is the web address for Windows Live Search (now called Bing) as your default home page. Select "OK."
On SeaMonkey and Mozilla Firefox

Select "Preferences," found in the Edit menu of SeaMonkey. Scroll over and select "Browser." Select the Display tab.

Verify that the option chosen beneath "Display on <Browser Startup>" is "Home page." Type "www.bing.com" in the text box underneath "Home page." Select "OK." Your home page is now set to Bing or Windows Live Search on SeaMonkey.

Select "Options" on the Tools menu of Mozilla Firefox. The Main tab will display when the Options dialog box opens.

Type "www.bing.com" into the text box next to "Home Page." Select "OK." Your home page is now set to Bing or Windows Live Search on Firefox.
