How to Reduce Oil on Face Naturally
It's a religious morning and evening ritual--cleansing the face with expensive facial scrubs and astringents that never seem to aid your shiny complexion. Excessive skin oil production, or sebum, can produce a shiny, wet-like facial complexion that is difficult to manage. Medicated facial scrubs and astringents are heavily diluted, and thus not potent enough to reach the skin's inner layers, where oil production occurs. Natural facial masks and cleansers that contain high levels of acidity may help limit the production of sebum.

Cucumber Lemon Oil Terminator
-
1
Pour 1 tbsp. lemon juice and 2 tbsp. cucumber juice into a bowl. Stir the ingredients for one minute to properly blend. Refrigerate the mixture for 1 hour to thicken.
-
2
Using your fingertips, apply the mixture to your entire face. Work the lemon cucumber juice into the skin using a circular motion technique. Lemon juice contains high levels of acidity that penetrate deep beneath the skin's layers to exfoliate dead skin cells and excess oils. Cucumber juice includes astringent properties that exfoliate and tone the skin whilst providing a cooling effect to reduce inflammation and irritation of the skin.

Tips & Warnings
Always rinse the skin with warm water as opposed to cool water. Facial oils dissolve when saturated with warm water.
All ingredients can be purchased at your local supermarket or health store.
Always consult your dermatologist before attempting natural skin treatments. Only a dermatologist can assess your specific skin type and whether these treatments may be right for you.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight when using facial oil treatments. Both treatments involve the usage of lemon juice, which can lighten the skin's pigment and burn the skin if exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
Always wash your hands after handling lemon juice before making contact with your eyes. Failure to do so may result in burning and eye irritation.
These treatments are not recommended for sensitive skin types. If an allergy to any of the ingredients listed is suspected, do not use treatment.
