How to Make Rose, Lavender and Rosemary Cologne

Rose, lavender and rosemary cologne is a simple, natural cologne free of potentially harmful preservatives and additives often found in commercially available colognes. Making your own cologne also will save you quite a bit of money, as manufacturers must pass on marketing and branding costs to consumers in the final cost of the product. This homemade cologne recipe makes enough for about 30 applications, though it easily can be doubled or tripled for more uses or as gifts.

Things You'll Need

• 1/4 cup witch hazel
• Sterilized glass bottle with fine-spray mister
• 32 drops rose essential oil
• 16 drops lavender essential oil
• 16 drops rosemary essential oil

Instructions

1. Pour the witch hazel into a sterilized glass bottle that has a fine-spray mister.

2. Add the rose and lavender essential oil, and set aside to infuse for 24 hours.

3. Add the rosemary essential oil, and shake gently. Store the cologne in a cool, dry place for 72 hours before the first use.

Tips & Warnings

• Apply by spraying over the body or by touching pulse points with a cotton pad.

• Avoid mixing or storing any type of homemade perfume or skin-care products in an aluminum container, as there is serious concern about heavy metals entering the body through the pores.
