How to Insert Picture Background on a Business Card
Using a background photo on your business card is a unique way to enhance the card's design and to further encapsulate your business with imagery. Most print companies have websites that allow you to design and order your business cards. To add a background photo to your business cards, you will need to find a reputable company, such as Vistaprint, 123Prints or Overnight Prints, that has a website which allows you to upload imagery and design your business card.

Check your image file's resolution, the image size and the file size. Make sure your image file resolution is at least 300 dpi. These websites will accept various image sizes but if your image size does not correspond with the dimensions of the business cards, there will be some blank spaces on your card. To customize your image to perfectly fit the card dimensions, review the companies "full bleed dimensions" specifications and change or crop your image accordingly. Your final file size should be no larger than 4 MB.

Navigate to the page of the website where you can view a selection of design options. Choose a blank design or a design that allows you to upload artwork and design your own cards.

Click to browse and upload a file. Browse your computers files and select the desired image. Once uploaded, your card with the photo on it will appear. A designing toolbar will also appear.

Choose the type and size of font you would like to use for the business card text information. Click to add text. A text field will appear on your business card.

Move the text field to the desired location on the card and begin typing. Select from various alignment or centering options if you would like your text to be aligned on one side or in the middle of the text field.

Click to view and approve your finished card design. Choose the paper stock and the quantity of business cards you would like to order.

Click to enter your payment and shipping information.
