How to Delete Avatars in Wordpress
WordPress is a blog publishing application with the option to comment on other blogs. When you comment on another person's blog, an avatar is left that represents you. This avatar can be anything you choose, from a random image found on the Internet to a real image of yourself. WordPress used to require an image and provided a default image if you hadn't chosen one. However, now you have the option to delete an image in your WordPress account.

Once you delete the image, you are unable to retrieve it. If you want to save the avatar image, download it before removing it from your profile.
