How to Make a Snowman Glass Ball Christmas Tree Ornament
Kids and parents alike will have no trouble getting into the Christmas spirit with a fun holiday craft. If your children love making snowmen, stay out of the cold and instead make a snowman from a clear glass Christmas ornament. School-aged children will have no trouble helping you with this project, and all of the products required to finish the craft can be purchased inexpensively at any craft store. Things You'll Need
- White craft paint
- Paper towel
- Baby sock
- Small piece of ribbon
- Small jingle bells
- Hot glue
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Black marker
- Small button
Instructions

Remove the hanger from the top of the ornament.

Place a few drops of white paint into the ornament.

Cover the opening at the top of the ornament with a piece of paper towel and shake it until the inside is completely coated with the white paint. You may have to add a few more drops and shake again to finish the job.

Allow the ornament to completely dry.

Place the hanger back onto the ornament after it has completely dried.

Place the baby sock onto the top of the ornament to make a hat. Pull the hat farther down onto the back of the ornament as opposed to the front. This will leave more room to make a face on the front of the ornament.

Secure the sock onto the ornament with hot glue.

Feel for the hanger underneath the sock. Tie a bow around the sock with a piece of ribbon at the hanger.

Secure a jingle bell onto the knot with a dab of hot glue.

Cut off about 1 inch of the sock at the toe.

Make tassels by cutting the top of the hat lengthwise into four equal parts, making sure to stop before you hit the hanger.

Cut each of these four pieces in half, once again making sure to stop before you hit the hanger.

Draw eyes and a smiling mouth on the front of the ornament with a black marker.

Glue a small button onto the face with hot glue to produce a nose.

Tips & Warnings
Make your snowman into a snow-woman by adding eyelashes, rosy red cheeks and red lips. The eyelashes can be added with a black marker, the cheeks and lips can be added with a red marker.
Be cautious while working with glass ornaments, especially around children. Do not let small children handle the ornaments, and if one breaks, clean up the mess immediately.
