Instructions

    • 1

Determine how large you would like your finished fabric hanging panel to be. Measure your fabric panel, allowing approximately 2 inches to 3 inches of excess on each side for the fabric to wrap around the stretcher bars. Purchase stretcher bars in the size you need.

    • 2

Assemble the canvas stretcher bars for your fabric panel. Align the stretcher bars, carefully creating a neat mitered corner. Tap the corners tightly together using a rubber mallet.

    • 3

Center the stretcher bar frame on the wrong side of the fabric. Staple the center of one side of the fabric into place on the stretcher frame.

    • 4

Pull the fabric on the opposite side taut and staple it to the frame. Continue pulling and stapling, alternating these two opposite sides, until the fabric panel is quite secure. Repeat for the two remaining sides of the fabric panel.

    • 5

Pull the point of each corner down and staple. Then pull each fold at the corners down and staple into place. Repeat until all four corners are complete.

    • 6

Screw a wire picture hanger into place on the top stretcher bar. Hang your fabric wall hanging.
