How to Put Your Whole Hard Drive on a Shared Network
If you have a small home or office network, you can place an entire hard drive on the network to easily pass files between each machine. Before you can access the hard drive from a remote machine, you need to share it. The hard drive can be shared in Windows Vista through the sharing properties dialog window. Once the drive is shared, you can connect to it from any other machine on the network. You can also share the drive using security permissions, but this is not normally implemented on a small network where the entire drive is shared.
