How to Streak Hair Using Purple Color Jamz Hair Dye
Beyond the Zone hair products began production in the mid-1990s. Its semi-permanent hair color line, Color Jamz, has 12 colors. Things You'll Need
- Hair clips
- Color Jamz purple hair dye
- Vaseline
- Latex or plastic gloves
- Foil

Decide if you want thick or thin chunks of purple color in your hair.

Separate the small section of hair that you would like to be purple from the rest of your hair. Clip the hair onto the top of the head.

Lighten the selected hair if it is not already blond with a lightening kit. The lighter the hair is, the more vibrant the purple will be. Placing the purple dye over brown or black hair will result in a washed out purple color.

Apply Vaseline around the hairline, and on the ears and neck. Vaseline acts as a barrier for the skin against the hair dye.

Put on the gloves. Remove the cap and the inner seal of the Color Jamz bottle. Replace the cap.

Remove a section of hair from the clip and apply the Color Jamz purple dye, starting at the root and moving down the end.

Slide a piece of foil underneath the dyed portion, all the way up to the root. Ensure that the hair beneath is not being touched by the dyed portion. Fold the foil over to completely cover the dyed portion of the hair.

Repeat steps six and seven until all of the selected hair in the clip is covered in purple dye and covered with foil.

Leave the purple dye on for 20 minutes. Remove the foil from the hair and immediately rinse. Rinse until the water runs clear.

Tips & Warnings
Use a fresh pair of gloves when washing the purple dye out of the hair to prevent staining of the hands and fingernails.
Apply heat with a hair dryer to the hair dye while processing to make the color more vibrant.
Never use bleach or hair dye around the eyes.
