Right-click the Kaspersky Anti-Virus program file and select "Run as administrator." According to Microsoft.com, running a program with administrative privileges can sometimes allow software to function properly if it will not otherwise.

Select "Custom installation" and click "Next" in the installation wizard. Read the End User License Agreement and click "I agree."

Read the Kaspersky Security Network data collection statement and decide if you would like to participate. If yes, check "I accept the terms of participation" and click "Next."

Click "Browse" if you would like to choose a different installation location and click "Next."

Click the arrow next to "Virtual keyboard" in the custom setup screen and choose "Entire feature will be unavailable." Click "Next." Check the box next to "Protect the installation process" and click "Install."

Choose "Activate Commercial License" if you have a license key. If not, choose "Activate trial license." Click "Next" when activation is complete.

Choose whether Kaspersky Anti-Virus will automatically make decisions about virus protection. Click "Next" and choose your update preference. Click "Next."

Pick a password to protect your settings or leave the password setting unchecked. Click "Next" twice.
