Being a Good Child Model
-
1
Choose a photographer who works with children and knows professionals in the modeling industry. Review his/her style and portfolio, and work with them if they will photograph your child for free.
-
2
Coach your child in their attitude while on a modeling job or at an initial agency interview. Help them to be outgoing if they are not, smiling and easygoing, and co-operative and comfortable in front of a camera.
-
-
3
Always be on time for any modeling job. Punctuality is very important and tardiness is not tolerated.
-
4
The ability of your child to separate from you is very important, so coach your child on being alone at a job. Help them to feel relaxed and secure when you are not there.
-
5
Practice with your child on sitting quietly for long periods of time. This is a crucial quality in being a good model.
-
6
Ask your child when they are old enough if they truly want to be a model. Modeling is tough with long hours, rejections and missed school. Their desire to be a model must be very strong.

Tips & Warnings
Read all you can about modeling agencies. Never pay an agency to represent your child. Agencies are paid by the client, not the models. Be well prepared before going to an agency or a shoot.
