How to Install Photoshop CS3 on Vista
Adobe Photoshop CS3 is a powerful program for digital art and photo manipulation, but some users experience problems installing it on Windows Vista. Prior to Installation

Open the Vista Start menu, then click on the "Search" window. Type "cmd" into the search panel in order to locate the command prompt utility.

Right-click on the command prompt icon. Select "Run As Administrator" from the context menu that opens. Click "Continue" if prompted as to whether or not you wish to run the application with elevated privileges. This will launch the command prompt with administrator rights.

Type "regsvr32 JScript.dll" into the command prompt and press the "Enter" key.

Type "regsvr32 VBscript.dll" into the command prompt and press the "Enter" key again. You may now close the command prompt window.
Installing Photoshop

Insert the installation disc for Photoshop CS3 into your computer or locate the installer files that you downloaded from Adobe. Do not let the software run automatically.

Browse the installation disc to find the setup program if you are using a disc for installation. Right-click on the setup program and select "Run As Administrator." As before, click "Continue" if you are asked whether you want to run the program.

Wait while the installer launches. Navigate through the installation program using the "Next" button, accepting the Adobe user agreement when it is presented to you.

Select the location on your computer where you wish to install Photoshop CS3. The default location will be in the "Program Files" section of your C: drive; you can specify a different location if you prefer, however. Click "Next" to continue the installation.

Enter your name, company information, and product key when prompted. Click the "Next" button.

Allow the Photoshop CS3 installer to connect via the Internet to the Adobe activation server in order to fully activate the software.

Wait while the installer program finishes the installation of Photoshop CS3. Close the installer program once it has finished.

Tips & Warnings
When launching the installer for Photoshop CS3 in Windows Vista, the program may stall for a few minutes. Be patient; the installer may stay stalled for up to five or ten minutes, but then will continue as normal.
