1
Knit a gauge swatch using six strands of yarn. Hold six strands together from six balls of yarn and cast on, taking care not to twist the yarns. If you need help casting on, go to TheKnittingSite.com. Your swatch should have eight stitches in 4 inches. When you have knitted a test swatch that is the correct gauge, start knitting the leg warmers.

Cast on 24 stitches, holding six strands of yarn from six balls of yarn. Do not twist the yarns as you are casting on. Put a stitch marker indicating the beginning of your first round and work in the stockinette stitch--knit every round until you have about 2 feet of yarn left from all six balls of yarn. Bind off your work--check KnittingHelp.com for help. Knit in the round by using circular needles. The leg warmers will not need to be stitched because they are knitted in a tube form.

Complete the stockinette stitch after you've cast on the needed number of stitches, beginning with the knitting stitch for the right side of your project. Change over to the purl stitch for the next round--the wrong side of the project. Continue to alternate rounds of knitting and purling.

Repeat step 2 for the second leg warmer, using the remaining six skeins of yarn. When you get to the end, bind off your work.
-
5
Using your large-eye needle, weave the ends of yarn into your leg warmers.
-
6
Cut the ribbon in half and weave one half in the top edge of each leg warmer.

Tips & Warnings
These leg warmers are "one size fits most."
The stockinette stitch makes your leg warmers stretchy. They will quickly return to their original size once you've taken them off.
Fun fur yarn tends to get caught in your stitches. Use your large-eye needle to gently pull the yarn "hairs" out of the stitches.
