How to Play Internet Explorer Games on Firefox

If you have trouble displaying certain pages, such as Flash games, in the Mozilla Firefox web browser, but you don't want to switch browsers, you can use the Internet Explorer add-on for Firefox. This extension allows you to easily switch between Firefox and Internet Explorer views, or to open links in Internet Explorer tabs within your Firefox browser.

Things You'll Need

  • Mozilla Firefox (version 3.0 or higher)
  • IE Tab

Instructions

    • 1

Download IE Tab, an Internet Explorer add-on for Firefox.

    • 2

Open the game in a Mozilla Firefox tab. Click the Firefox icon at the bottom of the window. The icon will change to an Internet Explorer icon and the page will reload as if in Internet Explorer (while remaining in a Firefox tab).

    • 3

Alternatively, right click the link to the game and choose "Open this link in IE tab," instead of "Open in new tab."

    • 4

Click the Internet Explorer icon at the bottom of the page to return the tab to normal Firefox mode.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Internet Explorer add-on only affects the tab you are currently viewing; all other tabs will remain in normal Firefox mode.

  • If the game doesn't work in either regular Firefox or the Internet Explorer tab, try updating or reinstalling Flash.
