How to Convert an iBook VGA Adapter to RCA
The Apple iBook is a laptop that is the predecessor to the Macbook. Although it officially stopped production in 2006, it is still possible to use the laptop. On the computer you can find a VGA port. The VGA port is typically used to connect the iBook with a monitor, giving you a larger viewing area. However, it is possible to convert the VGA port to RCA. This allows you to connect the laptop to a television.

1
Connect a VGA-to-RCA adapter into the VGA port of the iBook. Apple makes this exact product and it can be purchased from the Apple store website. On one side of the adapter is the VGA port. On the other side is a yellow RCA port and an S-video port. The yellow RCA port connects to the yellow video port on television sets, while the S-video port provides a slightly better image and can only be connected to devices with S-video ports.

2
Connect either a yellow RCA cable to the RCA port on the adapter or an S-video cable onto the S-video port. You do not need to use both ports at the same time.
