How to Make a Private Twitter Account

Twitter is a social-networking website that allows users to share what is happening or what is going on as it happens. It is a fun and easy way to give your friends and families a message update about your life and the things going on around you in one to two sentences. These messages, or status updates, are known as "tweets." With Twitter, you can also make your tweets private so that only you and your selected friends may view them.

Instructions

1. Go to the Twitter website, wwww.twitter.com, and then log in to your Twitter account. If you do not have an account, click on "Sign Up Now" to create one.

2. Click on "Settings," and then click on "Account."

3. Put a check mark in the box that says "Protect My Tweets." This will protect your tweets from the public and will allow only the friends you have selected to see your tweets. In order for others to see your Twitter page, they must request to be your friend and have your confirmation.
