How to Glue Beads on a Veil
Wedding veils can be one of the most expensive bridal accessories. The wedding industry marks them up by hundreds of dollars. Veils can be very easy and inexpensive to make, and no one will know the difference.
Beading can make a veil look very fancy and elegant, and it relatively easy to do. With a little bit of time, you can glue beads on your veil in a random pattern, in a specific design, or just along the border in a trim.

Tips & Warnings
Do not use a glue gun. Often, the veils are made of a synthetic material that can warp or melt from the heat of the glue. Also, if you are standing in the sun during a summer wedding, your glue could possibly start to melt, making your beading come loose and melt down the veil.
Be sure to let the glue dry before picking up or moving the veil. The beads could roll across the veil, leaving glue marks that will show when dry.
When putting the dots of glue on the veil, make sure to put just a small amount. If it is too much, it will come up over the bead, making it look clumpy and globby.
Super glue will also work, but be careful not to glue the beads and veil to anything else, such as the table you are working on. Because of this, fabric glue is probably the most practical glue, as it can just be pulled up from the table without sticking too much.
When working with beads on veils, less is often more. If you do too many beads, your veil could weigh more than you do! If your dress has beading already, you may want to keep the veil's beads to a minimum, so as not to compete with your dress. Consider just beading at the bottom of the veil, or as a trim.
When adding strands of beads as a trim, be sure to add them before you gather the veil and sew it. This will allow the veil to lay flat as you glue on the beads, making for an easier time of it.
