How to Make Party Bags Out of Paper Sacks
Create your own goody bags for your next party instead of buying flimsy, plastic bags in the store. Few supplies are needed to make the party bags and it only takes minutes to create each one. 1
Trace the shape you like on decorative paper using a cookie cutter or stencil. Make at least one shape for each bag or make multiple shapes to create a pattern on the bag. Use scissors to cut the shapes out of the paper.
-
2
Lay one paper bag flat on a hard work surface with the folded bottom facing down.
-
-
3
Place a small amount of glue around the edges on the back side of one of the shapes. Position the shape on the desired area of the paper bag and press it down. Allow the glue to dry.
-
4
Repeat steps two and three until each bag is decorated.
-
5
Open the bag and place it upright on your workspace with the opening at the top. Punch a hole on either side of the bag using a single hole punch.
-
6
Thread ribbon through the holes to create a handle for the bag. Tie each end in a knot to secure it.
-
7
Fill the party bag with goodies, such as candy and small toys.
