How to Clear the Search History on a Toolbar
Many people use web browsers with toolbar add-ons from popular search engines like Google and Yahoo so they have easy access to internet searching. While these toolbars can be convenient, they often are set up to remember previous searches, which can be a problem if you are using a communal computer. In order to clear the search history on a toolbar, the toolbar itself may have to be cleared: simply clearing the history of the browser may not clear the toolbar history

Clearing Yahoo Toolbar Hisotry

Open your web browser.

Click the "Settings" tab on Yahoo Toolbar. You can also click on the pencil icon.

Click "Clear Recent Searches."
Clearing Google Toolbar

Right click on the Google toolbar. You can right click right on the search field.

Tips & Warnings
* Many web browsers allow you to turn off saved search history.
* The version of your tool bars may alter the available menus.
* Clearing your toolbar search history in one browser may not change the history in a different browser; you will have to clear history for each browser individually if you use more than one.
* Other toolbars should have similar options for clearing history in the toolbar menu or by right clicking the toolbar.
