How to Make Big Baby Bows Hairbands
Baby hairbands can be adorable accessories for little girls, adorning their heads with giant bows and stretchy lace. These cute headbands can be expensive if you buy them in the store or a specialty boutique, though. Instead of spending extra money on headbands for your little girl, make them at home for a fraction of the cost. Make a hairband with a bow to match every outfit she owns, and you'll never run out of ideas.

1
Cut a length of elastic lace that is the same length as the circumference of your baby's head. Sew the two cut ends together, overlapping 1 inch or so. Set this aside.
-
2
Cut three pieces of ribbon in the following lengths of ribbon: 8 inches, 6 inches and 4 inches. Sew each length into a loop shape.
-
-
3
Layer the three loops of ribbon on top of one another in graduated size, with the 4-inch loop on top, and the 8-inch loop on the bottom. Sew the three layers together in the center.
-
4
Add a center to your bow using a piece of ribbon wrapped around the center and tacked on in the back with a few stitches. Or sew a button through all three layers to make the center of your bow.
-
5
Sew the bow onto the headband, covering the place where you sewed the headband together. Keep your stitches in the bottom layers of your bow so they won't show through on the top. Now your headband is ready to wear.
