How to Disable Windows Screensaver
Screensaver is a utility in Windows that displays an image selected by the user after a specific period of inactivity, also set by the user. However, screensavers consume power just like when you are working and can be a potential backdoor for remote access by hackers. In addition, downloaded screensavers might carry a trojan that can download spyware and malware to your hard drive. A default black-screen screensaver will come on even if you set it to "None" in the desktop personalization menu. However, you can permanently disable the screensaver feature in Windows by using Registry Editor and modifying a few registry values.
