How to Print With a Mac Laptop
Printing capabilities are an important part of your home and office computer network. The ability to print emails, receipts and other files is invaluable to the personal and professional Mac user. Laptop users have the luxury of a portable and mobile computer. However, laptop users need to have the same printing capabilities as the desktop user. The beauty of the laptop is that it can be both portable and act as a home desktop. Your Mac laptop is more than capable of hooking up to many printers.

Open your laptop next to your printer so it is within reach of your USB cable.

Turn on your computer. At your home screen, insert your printer installation disk, and begin the instillation process. Follow the onscreen instructions setup by the disk.

Insert one end of your USB cable into your Mac laptop's USB port.

Insert the other end of the USB cable into your printer's USB port.

Open the file you would like to print.

Click the "File" tab and scroll down to "Print."

Choose how many copies and what size you want printed.

Click "OK" and your file will print.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure you have ink cartridges that are not low or empty in your printer.
Make sure you have enough paper in your printer for your job. Ensure that your paper is inserted properly.
When disengaging your USB cable from your printer, make sure to first quit your printer's program or eject the device using your "Finder" tab.
