How to Make Sage, Lemon and Lavender Deodorant

Things You'll Need
- 6 tbsp. witch hazel
- 6 tbsp. distilled water
- 4 drops sage essential oil
- 2 drops lemon essential oil
- 2 drops lime essential oil
- 2 drops tea tree essential oil
- 4 drops lavender essential oil
- Clean plastic funnel
- Sterilized glass bottle

Combine the witch hazel, distilled water, sage, lemon and lime essential oils in a small saucepan. Heat the mixture for two to three minutes over how heat and remove from heat.

Add the tea tree and lavender essential oils and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon or a disposable stirrer.

Using a funnel, pour the mixture into a clean, sterilized glass bottle. Shake gently to combine for about 30 seconds.

Store the bottle in a cool, dry place for 24 hours before first use. Shake gently before each application.

Tips & Warnings
Apply the deodorant by spraying several times under each arm, or apply with a cotton pad.
This deodorant recipe will make enough product for about three weeks if used every day, though it is easily doubled or tripled for more people or uses.
Sage, lemon and lavender deodorant will keep for about four months.
Avoid mixing any type of homemade cosmetics or skin care products in an aluminum container, as there is serious concern about heavy metals entering the bloodstream through open pores.
