Open a graphics program that has an airbrush tool. If you have Adobe Photoshop, you're already set to go. If you can't afford Photoshop, there are free options available. GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is free. It allows you to airbrush photographs in addition to applying numerous other artistic options. There is a version for both PC and Mac available.

Browse to the folder on your computer where the photograph you want to airbrush resides. Double-click the photograph to open it. Select the eyedropper icon from the floating tool palette -- this is a color selector. Click on the photograph you want to airbrush near the target area. With the eyedropper, pick the color that most closely matches the area of the picture you touch up.

Select your airbrush tool and set the size of your brush from the airbrush palette. Start with a smaller brush to make sure you don't airbrush outside the target area. Try to do the work in short strokes; this gives you the opportunity to monitor the overall effectiveness of your work. You can go to the "Edit" menu and undo any mistakes you might make. Change your color as needed (with the eyedropper) to keep your airbrushing color in line with the area of the picture you're working on.
