Instructions

    • 1

Draw a guide line on the wall using a pencil and a ruler if you want a straight line of ivy. The stencil will rest on this line. If you do not desire a line, you may begin with Step 2.

    • 2

Secure the stencil to the wall with painter's tape. Be sure to place tape on each side of the stencil to prevent slipping.

    • 3

Apply a lime base coat, covering the entire leaf and its stem. The paint should be applied in short circular strokes.

    • 4

Dab the edges of each individual leaf and the stem with the hunter green paint. This will add dimension to the ivy and help it to properly stand out.

Tips & Warnings

  • Before you begin to stencil, plan carefully where you want the ivy to go. This will help to avoid any pattern errors and will ensure that you have enough paint for the project.
