Instructions

    • 1

Draw a detailed plan of your RV based on the basic length, width and height. Factor in all articles of furniture that are fixed.

    • 2

Plan your renovations based on the parameters of your trailer. Cabinets, sinks and counters that are fixed to the floor of the RV will save you a lot of time if they can be left in place rather than replaced. Make a "strike" list of everything that must be removed to make room for concession equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, larger sinks, etc.

    • 3

Take a hammer and crowbar and begin carefully removing the furniture on your strike list. Clear everything out of the cabin before moving on to the next.

    • 4

Remove any carpet. A concession business is bound to have spills and food safety regulations to meet, and a carpet will only get in the way of running a clean business. Vinyl flooring will be an ideal replacement because it is easy to clean, durable and doesn't have seams or cracks that food can collect in.

    • 5

Install any furniture or appliances you have decided to add. Make sure you only purchase those items that can be bolted to the floor of the RV with industrial strength joints. Small refrigerators and other transient items that you intend to keep outside of the RV while operating your business should have sturdy cleats built into the wall nearby so that you can use a cam buckle to secure them in place during transportation.

Locate a concession window retailer in your area. They'll have a variety of shapes and sizes so that you can select one that sits right in the side window panel on your RV. Most offer installation with purchase. Once your concession window is installed you're ready to get to work.
