How to Prepare Egg Bread Crumbs

Egg breads such as challah and brioche bread add a savory, richness to any dish. Use bread crumbs made from egg breads in any recipe requiring traditional bread crumbs.   • Egg bread (ie challah, brioche, etc), thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste (optional)
  • Baking pan
  • Food processor or rolling pin

      Lay slices of egg bread onto a baking sheet and preheat the oven to 200 F or warm.

      Bake the bread slices at 200 F for five minutes for soft bread crumbs or 10 minutes for dry, toasted egg bread crumbs.
