How to Download Songs to an LG Envy

Downloading songs to the LG Envy can be done effectively without incurring any cost from the service provider. The phone can function just as an MP3 player, so songs can be transferred to the phone from your computer with the help of a USB connection.

Plug the LG Envy sync cable into the computer to install the phone's USB device driver.

Click "Open folder to view files" in the device's "AutoPlay" window when you are prompted to take action for the device connection.

Click on the LG Envy folder icon that should appear as a removable storage device when the "Explorer" window opens.

Browse through the LG Envy folders to locate the phone's "Music" folder. Once you have found this folder, click its folder tab to view its contents. The folder should be empty.

Open your computer's music folder in a new window to view the song files you want to transfer to the phone.

Click the song file you want to download and drag the file to the window where the LG Envy removable storage folder icon is located. The file will then be downloaded to this folder. Repeat the action to download more songs to the LG Envy removable storage folder.

Tips & Warnings
Save yourself some time by downloading more than one file at a time to the LG Envy. You can also press the "Control" key on your computer's keyboard while clicking on each song you want to download to create a full list of songs. Then you can drag the full list to the removable storage folder, rather than downloading each song individually.
Cell phones can only hold so many music files. Make sure you have a mobile memory card for the phone to avoid taking up the majority of the storage space on the phone's hard drive, as this will make the phone run a lot slower than it should. Most mobile memory cards can store anywhere from 256MB to 4GB of music, so you can store hundreds of songs, rather than limiting your storage capacity to approximately 60 or 70 songs.
Make sure you have songs stored to your computer, prior to attempting the download process.
