How to Update Catalyst Drivers in Vista
Video drivers are software that is used by the Windows Vista operating system to control the functions of the graphics card, such as those from ATI. Catalyst is the name of the software that is used with ATI graphics cards and is typically installed using the installation CD that came with your specific graphics card. You can update Catalyst drivers in Vista through the operating system or by installing the drivers manually.

Right-click on your desktop and select "Personalize" from the context menu.

Click the "Display Settings" option when the Personalization dialog box appears.

Click on the "Monitor" tab when the Display Settings window appears and then click the "Advanced Settings" button.

Click on the "Adapter" tab and then click the "Properties" button.

Click on the "Driver" tab and then click the "Update Driver" button. Windows Vista will then search for any available driver updates for the graphics card.

Go to the Graphics Drivers and Software page for AMD (see Resources).

Select your operating system, graphics card type and model by selecting the correct versions in the lists that are provided. You then need to click the "GO" button to continue.

Click the link provided on the page to download the setup file to your system. Save the file to a location such as your desktop.

Double-click the setup file on your desktop to install the updated Catalyst drivers to your system.
