How to Install a Mini Blind Valance
Mini blinds can be an inexpensive, but they are still a stylish option in outfitting the windows in your home. There are many colors and a wide variety of materials to choose from, such as vinyl and aluminum window treatments. These can be easily installed. You can install a decorative valance on your mini blinds to hide the mounting brackets. It just takes a little effort and a few basic materials to update the look of your home. Place the corner brackets on the returns supplied if you are installing your blinds outside the window opening. If you are installing the blinds inside the window opening, skip this step and go onto Step 3. Slide the corner bracket into the grooves in the return so the outer edge of the return brackets is aligned with the bottom edge of the valance return.

Push the valance and corner brackets into the groove on the end of the valance and line up the edges.

Connect the valance splice into the groove on the end of one piece of the valance. Leave part of the splice hanging out of the end of the valance. Hold the splice still in your hand while you push the second valance piece into the other one.

Set the left upper side of the valance on the top groove of the valance clip. Push the lower part of the valance into the bottom groove. Repeat this for the right side of the valance.

Position the valance on the wall by gently snapping the clips into place on the brackets and closing the bracket doors. Make sure the valance is secure and fits correctly.

Tips & Warnings
If you can see the ends of the valance clips when the blinds are on the wall, take the valance down and snap the ends of the clip off with your hand. Put the blinds back up.
If your valance has a two-place adjustable valance clip, install the blinds this way. Push the valance slide in the notches in the back of the valance. Rotate it 90 degrees until you feel it lock into place. The wider end of the slide should be pointed upward. Connect the valance slide to the clips and line them up.
