How to Clean a Western Hat

  1. Felt hats

      Select a brim or soft-bristled brush that is dark for dark colored hats or light for light colored hats.

      Brush your hat in a counterclockwise motion around the brim, then hold the hat by the brim as you brush over the top toward the back of the hat.

      Press masking tape against the hat and rub the tape. Pull the tape away from the hat to remove lint and debris.
