How to Decorate a Church Youth Bulletin Board
If you are actively involved with your church's youth ministry, chances are you have decorated a bulletin board at least once or twice before. Childrens' attention spans are much shorter than those of adults, so in order to capture their attention and draw them to church activities, your bulletin board will need to be vibrant, fun and easy to read. A vividly decorated bulletin board is sure to draw many young people to the church's youth activities.

Tips & Warnings
A school supply store is the best place to look for the items you will need for this project.
Choose a border that is eye-catching enough to draw childrens' attention. If you are following a theme (Easter, fall festival) then pick a border that is appropriate for that theme.
If the bulletin board is very large, use 4-inch-long letters instead of the 2-inch.
Make sure dates, locations and times are clearly visible. These are the most important bits of information on the bulletin board.
The bulletin board should have a visual flow that children and parents can easily follow. Everything does not need to be straight or aligned, but all elements should be uniform. This means that if the header is arranged to look wavy, the pictures and fliers should appear wavy as well.
Depending on your church's customs, using nonreligious characters may be offensive to some church members, so use them under advisement from other church officials.
If your church youth bulletin board is a whiteboard, then you should not use the above directions as they will cause damage to the board. Instead, decorate it with dry erase markers. It may also be OK to tape some pictures or letters to the board, but be careful when doing this.
