How to Download Music from the Internet with Firefox Browser

Firefox is an Internet browser that can be used on PC and Mac computers. The browser functions in a similar fashion to other browsers such as Internet Explorer or Safari. If you are a music lover, it is possible to download music tracks and content to your computer while using the Firefox Web browser. Depending on the site you visit, you either can download the content for free or you need to pay for each track.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch Firefox. Although Google is typically the default start-up page, you may have changed this in your program preferences.

    • 2

Navigate to a site that allows you to download music to your computer. Some of these sites include "Altnet.com," "Mtv.com/music/downloads/" and "Rhapsody.com"

    • 3

Type in the title of the song or artist name into the search bar that you may want to download. In a moment the search results are going to load up on your screen.

    • 4

Click the "Play" button to make sure it is the song you want.

    • 5

Click "Download" if you know you want to download the music content. On some of the sites you are going to be asked to create an account. This consists of your email, name, password and possible billing information. Many of the sites are going to charge you around a dollar for each song download (Rhapsody does allow you to stream all the music for free; however, it charges per download).

    • 6

Allow the song to download from your Firefox browser. Once complete, you can move the downloaded music file to any location on your computer or into your iTunes playlist.
