How to Change From an MP3 to a WAV on Windows Media Player
Converting audio files requires the use of an audio conversion utility. However, changing or converting an MP3 audio file to a WAV file may also be accomplished using the Microsoft Windows Media Player. Using the Rip function, MP3 files can easily be changed to WAV files.

Right-click on the MP3 file to change and select "Open With."

Select Windows Media Player from the context menu.

Click the Now Playing button on the top navigation menu once the MP3 file has loaded.

Choose "More Options..." from the menu.

Click the "Rip Music" tab.

Select "WAV" in the format drop-down box of the Rip Settings section.

Specify the output folder for the new WAV file in the section labeled "Rip Music to This Location."

Click the "OK" button.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the new WAV file. Open the WAV file in a compatible player to test.

Tips & Warnings
Windows Media Player is also a great utility for ripping audio files and burning directly to CD or DVD.
