How to Make a Lexmark Printer Wireless

Create wireless access to your Lexmark printer by connecting it to a wireless print server. The wireless print server will communicate to your wireless router and broadcast the signal to all of the members of your wireless network. The use of a wireless print server eliminates the need to connect your Lexmark printer to a stationary computer and use the printer sharing feature over the network.

    • 3

Turn on your Lexmark printer and plug in the AC adapter connected to the wireless print server.

    • 4

Use the installation disk supplied with your wireless print server appliance and run the installation wizard on a computer connected to the network. Follow the instructions supplied in the installation wizard to connect the wireless print server to your wireless network router.

Install the necessary print drivers on all computers located on the network by using the installation disk that was supplied with the wireless print server.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are running a completely wireless network, it is unnecessary to supply an Ethernet connection between the wireless print server and the wireless network router. This step is only necessary if there are computers on your network that gain access through a wired ethernet connection.
