Instructions

    • 1

Mix a mild soap with warm water in a bucket. A dish detergent will usually suffice. Avoid strong cleaning agents, as they can cause rubber to become sticky.

    • 2

Scrub the bumper using a sponge or heavy-duty brush. This may require applying some pressure to get into the rubber's pores and get the dirt out.

    • 3

Rinse off any soapy residue. Towel the rubber dry or let it air-dry.

    • 4

Apply a rubber protectant to the bumper to help keep it clean. Depending on the product, spray it or pour it onto a clean cloth and then wipe it onto the bumper.

    • 5

Let the protectant soak in for about 15 minutes. Buff off the excess with a clean cloth.
