How to Remove Software From a Seagate Free Agent Desk
The Free Agent Desk is an external hard drive produced by Seagate. External hard drives are used to free up your computer's primary hard drive space and back up important data. The Free Agent Desk currently comes in sizes that range from more than 500 gigabytes to a couple of terabytes. As you use your external drive you may find that you do not need specific software anymore. By removing this software you can clear up more space on your Free Agent Desk.

Connect the external hard drive. Insert the USB cable into an available USB port and plug the power cord into an outlet. Wait while the external hard drive loads its data.

Open the external hard drive. Go to "My Computer" and select "FreeAgent Drive (E:)."

Locate the software. Go to the start menu and type the name of the software into the search bar if you are unable to find it.

Right-click on the software's folder and select "Delete." The files will then be transferred to the recycling bin. Empty the recycling bin to permanently remove the software.

Restart the computer. Close out of all open windows and click the "Safely Remove" icon on the quick start menu. Disconnect the external hard drive when you are prompted.

Clicking on the software's folder and pressing the "Delete" key will also remove it.
