How to determine your Xbox 360 dvd drive without opening

This quick and easy way will definitely save you time and screws lol. You will be able to find out what dvd drive you need to change and modify your system to work at it's fullest potential.

Things You'll Need

• Xbox 360 system
• Hands
• About 30 seconds

Instructions

1. Located the tab on the face on your xbox 360. It is on the bottom part of the face. You will notice an indentation right by it. Also make sure nothing is hook up that will prevent the face from coming off.

2. Pull the tab to remove your face. Be careful that you do not break your face. Some of them are fragile but will come off. Put it in a safe place so you won't lose it.

3. 

   Once you remove your face, located the oval shaped hole under the dvd drive. Your drive will be identified by the color of the wire if any. Refer to resources below to determine your dvd drive brand.

Tips & Warnings

• I advise only professionals to flash or edit anything with caution.

• Do not attempt to change the dvd drive by yourself if you have never did this before.

• You can't just switch dvd drives without transfering the info from the old drive to the new drive.
