1
Decorate a standard-sized sheet of construction paper, holding it so it faces horizontally (landscape orientation). For a holiday, choose festive-themed items to decorate your paper. You could also make a face on it for a goofy craft idea at any time of the year.
-
2
Roll the construction paper and tape the short ends together or attach them with a small bit of glue. The idea here is to make a cylinder from the construction paper, with the decorations facing the outside.

3
Tape or glue strips of crepe paper streamers to the inside of the tube, leaving them to stream down off the bottom. These will form the tails of your windsock.
-
4
Poke holes in the top of the tube and tie yarn through them for hanging. Display your windsock indoors near an open window or outdoors on your front porch.
