Nail Polish Remover Method

Test the nail polish remover on an inconspicuous part of the dress to make sure that it won't do any harm. Apply a small amount.

Wet a cotton ball with nail polish remover.

Dab the dress with the cotton ball, starting from the perimeter of the stain and working toward the center.

Replace the used cotton ball with a fresh one when it becomes soiled.

Allow the area to dry after the stain has been removed.
Hydrogen Peroxide Method

Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water in a bowl.

Place the mixture in an eyedropper.

Test the fabric for colorfastness by placing a few drops of your hydrogen peroxide mixture on a hidden part of the fabric.

Set the dress in a sunlit area.

Dampen the stain with several drops of the hydrogen peroxide mixture.

Let the dress sit for a few hours in the sunlight. If the spot dries, dampen it again with more of the mixture.

Tips & Warnings
If the stain is very small, try using cotton swabs instead of cotton balls so that you can be more accurate.
Make sure to dab at the stain. If you rub the stain, you could damage the fibers of the dress and drive the stain further into the fabric.
Only use the hydrogen peroxide method on a white or colorfast dress, as hydrogen peroxide can bleach fabrics.
