How to Use Windows Standard VGA Driver in Windows XP
Typically, when you connect a new computer monitor to your system, a VGA driver is included to ensure the monitor functions properly. Although the driver isn't always necessary, it is good practice to install it. However, you may find the new driver tends to unexpectedly crash and shut down programs, in which case you need to force Windows to use the standard VGA driver running on your Windows XP system.
