Windows Mobile 6.1 allows you to customize your phone's settings, including the displayed language, date and time. U.S. phones equipped with Windows Mobile 6.1 are only configured to support two languages, English and Spanish, and Microsoft does not offer a language pack for the system to add more languages. The process to change the displayed language is the same for all mobile phones, whether equipped with Windows Mobile version 6.1 or version 6.0.

Click "Start" to access your start menu. Scroll down and select "Settings."

Scroll down and select "More" until you see "Regional Settings," and click on it.

Select your language and your locale (optional). Setting the locale will display the date and time in the proper regional format (Ex: 21/3/2009 or 3/21/2009).

Click "OK" to confirm. Reset your device for the changes to take effect.

Tips

If you have a touch-screen phone, you'll need to tap "Start," "Settings," "System," then "Regional Settings." Change your language and reset your phone for the settings to take effect.
