You can sync your iTouch with iTunes to transfer several kinds of data, including contacts, calendar events, music, movies, and much more.

      Download and install iTunes if you do not already own the software. See "Resources" for a link to download iTunes.

      Plug the USB connector from the iTouch into the computer. Plug the other end into your iTouch

      Open iTunes if it does not automatically open. Once you open iTunes, you should be able to see the iTouch icon in the left-hand navigation pane.

      Click the iTouch icon once it appears in iTunes. This will open an interface that will allow you to sync the iTouch to iTunes.

      Click the "Sync" button located on the bottom right-hand corner of iTunes.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can update data manually if you click the "manual update" check box in iTunes. This allows you to add single songs without updating the entire iTouch.

  • Do not unplug the iTouch from the computer without first ejecting it from iTunes. This may cause a loss of data.
