How to Use Turmeric for Scalp

Turmeric is an orange plant with tubed flowers. When turmeric is ground into a powder, it can taste sweet. In fact, it is often used to add spice to foods. Turmeric is also an antioxidant used topically to promote healing of chronic sores. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric make it effective to relieve skin and scalp conditions such as psoriasis, scabies and ringworm.

Instructions

    • 1

      Poke a hole in three to four liquid turmeric capsules.

    • 2

      Squeeze the liquid out of the capsules on to your scalp. A minimum of 15 drops of turmeric is effective; however, you can use up to 30.

      Massage the turmeric liquid into the scalp and let it dry.

    • 4

      Repeat steps 1 through 3 up to four times per day. Continue to use the turmeric until your scalp condition has resolved.

Tips & Warnings

  • Turmeric is sold as an ingredient in some soaps. You can use this on parts of your body that may have mild skin disorders.

  • You can add turmeric powder to your food and allow it to cleanse and heal your body from the inside out.

  • Turmeric doses for children have not yet been established. Do not give turmeric to your child without consulting a physician.
